Aunties will be hosting an event to honor Jack Nisbet, who won a 2010 PNBA award for The Collector, on March 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Mountain Path Yoga offers Yoga classes in the Iyengar and White Lotus traditions. Introduction to Yoga begins March 8-April 19, Mon. eve, 5:30-7. Six weeks for $66. Chewelah classes begin again! Slow Food Video Night at Lovitt Restaurant - The DVDs Nourish and Big River will be shown at Lovitt Restaurant on Tuesday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. Popcorn, flatbreads, beer and wine will be available for purchase. You are invited to Colville's 6th annual Home & Garden Show 2010! The theme this year is Do-It-Yourself. Fri., Mar. 19, 9am -- 6pm and Sat., Mar. 20, 9am to 4pm at the Ag Trade Center, NE Washington Fairgrounds. Woodland Theater Presents -- South Pacific - The show will be performed March 5-7, 11-14, 18-21. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 pm. Sunday matinees are at 3:00 pm. Opening night (3/5) and Thursday shows are $10 per person. All other performances are $15 for adults and $12 for students and senior citizens. It's our 7th Annual Spring Fling Dance and Dessert Auction, to be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Malo Grange, and YOU ARE INVITED! We are excited to announce that, from east of the Kettle, "Borderland Blues Band" will give you a rhythm-and-blues rockin' good time. A door charge of $5.00 will be asked of all adults, as this is the Arts Council's only fund-raiser for the year. Monies received help finance the "Ansorge Artists' Affaire" June 6, the "Pioneer Arts Camp for Kids" June 21-24, and the "Shakespearean Play" August 21-22. To become involved in this non-profit organization, whose Mission Statement is to support the arts through community and the community through arts, join us for a planning meeting! * April 24: In Search of the Wild Mushroom w/ Prof. Jim Groth, Botany-Plant Pathology, University of Minnesota. Jim was the mushroom identification expert for the Minnesota Poison Control Center for 17 years and will help you understand which wild fungi are good to cook or just interesting to look at. * May 7 & 8: Backyard Permaculture Designs & Wild Plants of Stevens County -- Sustainable Wildcrafting w/ Michael "Skeeter" Pilarski of Friends of the Trees Society and Sunny Pine Farm. Skeeter is known for his knowledge of native plants and agricultural systems and teaches many clinics along the west coast and Hawaii. Aikido & Ki/Chi Development classes - Aikido is a spiritual non-violent martial art based on the principles of ki, relaxation, & blending. Ki development classes are Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-7 pm, and cost $25 per month. Aikido classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:15 -- 9 pm, and most Saturdays from 9-11 am, and cost $40 per month. Classes are at 336 W. Astor at the "Dojo." For further information call 685-0509. The instructor is Jeff League, a fourth degree black belt in Aikido.
