The play is written and directed by Sandra Hosking, Co-Playwright-in-Residence at Spokane Civic Theatre, and features published author, Claire Rudolf Murphy as Hutton and veteran actress, Penny Lucas as DeVoe. The public is invited to attend a presentation of That Woman & Big Noise on March 22, 6:30 pm, in the lower level of the Colville Public Library. To All Friends of Radio: Scott Schlafman of mychewelah.org is in the process of establishing a high-power non-commercial class C-3 radio station within 25 miles of Chewelah. He is taking pledges in the effort to apply for the FCC license. If no other organization applies for the frequency, his chances of winning the bid are very favorable. To apply, he has raised most of the funds from the Chewelah community, but they are tapped out for the money needed in hiring an engineer and lawyer. He is soliciting Northern Stevens County in the hopes of establishing a NE Washington Community Radio Group. With 50,000 watts of power available, our community will have alternative radio. The Kettle Falls Radio Group sees this as an opportunity to have a landscape radio broadcast suitable to the needs of our community. If you would like to help Scott, contact him at scott@mychewelah.org with a pledge and encouragement.
